The need is for DIRECT access to ECC data, ideally using SAP-sanctioned API's. Up until last year, Power BI had a "BObj Universe" connector, which would be a desireable. This is a brand new service launched specifically for the special conditions caused by COVID-19. This allows remote access for students to access the Windows workstations in our labs. Essentially this is like using an ECC Windows workstation locally.
