It would be good if there was a consistent use of the dhcp-option to set the domain name suffix for the connection as well as the domain search list. Currently, it's a mix of using DOMAIN only, using it as connection suffix if it's a single one or using it as search list if there are multiple. Some clients use DOMAIN-SEARCH for search list.
